TT players abroad - Dec 10, 2009 (by Albert-Lee Young) Center Duane Virgil hit 22 points and pulled down 7 boards as Alcazar scored a close 61-57 victory against Illescas in the Spanish LEB Silver league on Saturday night. While on Friday night Adrian Joseph tallied 4pts, 3rebs, 3steals in a losing effort as Rosalia fell 52-64 to Prat Juventud in another LEB Silver Regular Season contest.
In Argentina:
Wilfred SpongyBenjamin had 5pts, 8rebs, 1steal & 1blk as San Martin MJ beat Club 9 85-79 in the Argentina TNA Regular Season Round 10 game on December 6. With the win San Martin MJ improved their record to 7-2 while Club 9 fell to 4-4.
France:
Ian Young tallied 11pts, 2 assists and 2 steals but Quimper fell 67-78 to Lille on December 5 in the French Pro B league. Lille jumped to 8-3 and Quimper 2-9.
Japan:
Julius Ashby scored 25 points and grabbed 13 rebounds on Monday but Tokyo Apache still went under 82-102 against Niigata Albirex in the Japanese BJ League. In the second game the following night Ashby finished with 18 points in another losing effort as Apache lost a close back to back contest 82-84 against Albirex.
USA:
DeVaughn Lamont put up 17 points and 13 rebounds as San Francisco Rumble held off held off the Central Valley Dawgs with a 128-122 victory at California in an American Basketball Association regular season game.
In Albuguerque New Mexico, Jamal Fenton scored 5pts including a three, dished-out 4 assists and had 3 steals coming off the bench for 18mins as University of New Mexico crush rivals New Mexico State University 75-58 on Saturday at home in an NCAA Division 1 contest. With the win U.N. M's record improved to 8-0.
